PRIVACY NOTICE
1. Bridgestone Europe NV/SA (“Bridgestone” or “we”), Da Vincilaan 1, 1930 Zaventem, Belgium is the Data Controller of the personal data it collects in the scope of the activities described herein.
2. Our purpose and lawful basis. Bridgestone’s purpose of processing personal data in the Sustainable Business campaign is to engage its employees in its mission to make a strong contribution to the Bridgestone E8 Commitment. To achieve this objective, Bridgestone has a legitimate interest to invite employees, individually or in teams, to make a pledge on their personal contribution towards a sustainable society, and to share the stated pledges in Bridgestone’s internal communication channels (intranet, wall hangings,…). Our legitimate interest is to provide communications which we think that may be of interest to you and the Bridgestone’s employees. Participation is entirely voluntary though, and employees must not be compelled to provide a post. If you decide to make a team’s post, only do so when all team members are in agreement. The same principle applies to uploading a photograph or video. You can make a post with or without uploading a picture or video of yourself or your team. If you decide to upload a team’s photograph or video, make sure everyone who is in the picture is agreeing with that and is aware of this privacy notice. Do not include children under the age of 16 in your post, photograph or video.
3. Source of personal data. If you make an individual post, you are the direct source of the data we collect relating to your person. If you are part of a team that makes a post, our source of the personal data is your teammate that the team has tasked with filing the post and photograph.
4. Who are the personal data shared with? We work with Sequel Group as our data processor, who stores your personal data in the UK. Your post, and photograph or video when uploaded, may be shared internally with Bridgestone employees worldwide. This data transfer is either based on the existence adequacy decision for certain locations, or the Standard Contractual Clauses for other countries. 5. Your rights. The laws applicable to the processing of your personal data give you the right to object to the processing by simply declining the invitation to make a post. If you have participated, you have the right to request access to your personal data which our processor holds, and to request corrections or erasure of the data, as well as the restriction of processing. If you believe that our processing of your data infringes upon your statutory rights, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a personal data protection supervisory authority of the EU member state where you have your residence, place of work or place of alleged infringement.
6. Data retention period. We will delete your Personal data within 12 months from the end date of the campaign.
